Non-human animals
Le concept “d’animal non humain” est une terme antispéciste qui tend à inclure les “animaux” dans le cercle de considération des humains, spécifiant par le terme “non humain” ce que Darwin exprimait déjà dès le XIXe siècle à savoir qu’entre les “animaux” et les “humains” il y a en réalité une différence de “degrés” mais pas de “nature”. Nous sommes bien tous des animaux.
Ainsi parler “d’animaux humains” n’est pas anodin.
The concept of “non-human animal” is an anti-speciesist term that tends to include “animals” in the circle of consideration of humans, specifying by the expression “non-human” what Darwin was already expressing in the 19th century, namely that between “animals” and “humans” there is in fact a difference of “degrees” but not of “nature”. We are all animals.
So to speak of “human animals” is not insignificant.
Ou l’on inclus les humains dans une communauté d’animaux avec l’optique d’une approche inclusive (voire inter-sectionnelle) et respectueuse du vivant.
Où l’on met à distance une communauté ciblée d’humains afin de justifier des actions par une réthorique génocidaire, calquée sur le traitement actuellement réservé au 80 milliard d’animaux (terrestres uniquement!) tués chaque année dans le monde.
Or we include humans in a community of animals with a view to an inclusive (or even intersectional) approach that respects living beings.
Or we distance ourselves from a targeted community of humans in order to justify our actions with a genocidal rhetoric, modelled on the treatment currently reserved for the 80 billion (terrestrial!) animals killed worldwide each year.
La seconde option est, malheureusement pour l’humanité (et les animaux non humains), la plus utilisée dans l’histoire… ou tant qu’il y aura des “animaux” (humains ou non) il y aura la possibilité d’une mise à distance violente d’une partie de l’humanité.
The second option is, unfortunately for humanity (and non-human animals), the most widely used in history… or as long as there are “animals” (human or otherwise) there will be the possibility of a violent distancing of part of humanity.

NON HUMAN RIGHT PROJECT
Un avocat américain est à l’origine d’un projet de défense des droits d’animaux non humains en capacité de réclamer la personnalité juridique et à ce titre sont victimes de détentions arbitraires voire d’apartheid. Persuadé que “tant qu’il y aura des cages” il y aura toujours la possibilité “d’animaliser” et de parquer d’autres humains. Steven Wise s’appuie pour cela sur l’Habeas Corpus et la common law en vigueurs aux Etats-Unis.

An American lawyer is behind a project to defend the rights of non-human animals who can claim legal personality and, as such, are victims of arbitrary detention and even apartheid. Convinced that “as long as there are cages”, there will always be the possibility of “animalizing” and confining other humans.
