Communs
Les « communs » c’est un système social à part entière qui comprend des biens communs et une collectivité d’individus qui s’organisent dans une philosophie de vie du partage. Initialement la notion de « communs » renvoie au processus d’enclosure (de privatisation) des terres (forêts, champs…) à la sortie du Moyen-âge, qui, associé à une professionnalisation des savoirs, un individualisme intellectuel et spirituel naissant et une chasse aux sorcières nous a donné le modèle rationaliste, capitaliste, patriarcal, libéral que nous connaissons.
The « commons » is a social system in its own right that includes common goods and a community of individuals who organise themselves in a philosophy of life of sharing. Initially, the notion of « commons » refers to the process of enclosure (privatisation) of land (forests, fields…) at the end of the Middle Ages, which, associated with a professionalization of knowledge, a nascent intellectual and spiritual individualism and a witch-hunt, gave us the rationalist, capitalist, patriarchal, liberal model that we know.
Les « communs » sont donc aujourd’hui une alternative : un enjeu écologique, libertaire, et féministe. Ils sont des défis lancés à l’ordre établi afin de questionner ce qui fait collectivité, des espaces autonomes de ré-appropriation (reclaim) des moyens de subsistance (sobriété) et de reproduction (soin).
The « commons » are therefore today an alternative: an ecological, libertarian, and feminist issue. They are challenges to the established order in order to question what makes a community, autonomous spaces for reclaiming the means of subsistence (sobriety) and reproduction (care).

Partager ne suffit pas pour définir un « communs ». Il faut pour cela qu’on veuille le partager et qu’on y mette du sens et une vision d’avenir durable. C’est donc tout un modèle de vie qui comprend que l’intérêt individuel ne peut exister sans l’intérêt commun.
Sharing is not enough to define a ‘common’. For that to happen, we need to want to share it and to put meaning and a vision of a sustainable future into it. It is therefore a whole model of life that understands that individual interest cannot exist without the common interest.
