L’As de Coupe : la paix commence à l’intérieur de soi, est un projet inédit de Cécilia Granara pour la Vitrine. L’artiste y déploie son trait vif et naïf dans un système de références au Tarot qui lui est si caractéristique. La Vitrine qui en résulte est une image à la grammaire visuelle évidente pour toucher directement nos émotions. Le projet de Cécilia vient nous toucher en plein coeur, avec bienveillance et nous demander comment nous allons.
Ace of Cups: Peace starts from within oneself, is a new project by Cécilia Granara for La Vitrine. In it, the artist deploys her vivid, naive line in a system of Tarot references that is so characteristic of her. The resulting Vitrine is an image with an obvious visual grammar, designed to touch our emotions directly. Cécilia’s project touches us in the heart, with kindness, and asks us how we’re doing.
“In the iconography of tarot cards, Aces represent beginnings. Cups represent emotions and the subconscious. The Ace of cups is a gift: the energy of starting something new. In this new year I wanted to offer an image of regeneration. The black cup is our grief. But the rainbow flow enters and exits the cup infinitely. May this image help us to visualize peace in our inner selves and in our surroundings.”
En écho à la publication annuelle NONFICTION, La Vitrine est une carte blanche in situ donnée à un·e jeune artiste contemporain·e. NONFICTION et ARTER invitent deux fois par an, un·e jeune artiste de l’édition annuelle à s’emparer de la vitrine sur rue de leurs bureaux pour y proposer une intervention artistique éphémère. Surgissement au cœur de l’espace public, La Vitrine est l’opportunité d’un questionnement sur la place des imaginaires dans la société.
Echoing the annual NONFICTION publication, La Vitrine is an in situ carte blanche given to a young contemporary artist. Twice a year, NONFICTION and ARTER invite a young artist from the annual edition to take over the street window of their offices to propose an ephemeral artistic intervention. La Vitrine is an opportunity to question the place of the imaginary in society.
